It's the end of the year ! Come on ! TAN YUAN ! Every chinese or asian must try out this nice dessert (like a) . So this morning , i tried out my mother's homemade Tan Yuan.

My mum made me eat 16 of it because i am turning 16 years old ..... This is kinda of like tradition ? Hahahahha . Don't get it also ! So means if you are 50 years old you are going to take in 50 of it ? ARE YOU KIDDING ME ? Hehehe

A closer view of the Tan Yuan .
The flavours are :-
/ SWEET POTATO
/ORIGINAL
/PUMPKIN

you can actually make more different type  of it so make it creatively on your own flavours ! It's really easy to make !

You'll just need
- A packet of Glutinous rice Flour
- some warm water

That's all ! Then you 'll have to roll and roll till look roundy shape ! But you can also do more shapes like this

Isn't this amazing ? It is made into the shape of the water-lily . It is made by one of the Aunties that i met at the temple . So i took picture of it . It's easy so just shape it to your own shape !

I would like wish everyone HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE :)

Ice-cream

Raining dayy ! It's a cold day here in Kuching ! It have always been raining these few days because it's year-end raining season! So i came up with an idea! Kuching people have been crazy about durians nowadays since it have become our trend here in Sarawak, especially Kuching! We can get durians here at a very very cheap price . But it depends on the person you buy from .

Tips on good durians !
-yellow-skinned
-sweet
-contains a bit of bitter taste
- meat not too dry and not too soft

But remember not too take too much durians ! It may cause you sore throat if you did not drink plenty of water after that .

So, my mum came up with this idea to make Durian ice-cream as there are too much durians at my house. My mum used THERMOMIX, the small kitchen which is very famous nowadays around the world. You should get one now ! You can do any types of recipes with thermomix !

Sorry for the imperfections. 😉

Closer view of the ice-cream.

You can also decorate your ice-cream with peanuts or others like cashew nuts, almond nuts .
It's a cold day ! So make it colder by making an ice-cream on your own.

The filling for this dish usually containspork (sometimes chicken, or beef in Muslim areas), cabbage (or Chinese cabbage and sometimes spinach), scallions (spring or green onions), ginger, Chinese rice wine or cooking wine, and sesame seed oil.
