Beliong Fuk Teck Gong Temple is located outside of Kuching as it takes around an hour or more to get there which depends on the traffic on the road. 

Meaning of Beliong

Beliong in Chinese is Wen Loong. Literally, it means kissing the dragon. But there are no dragons in Beliong, only a long sandy ridge created by the alluvial deposits of the Samarahan River running all the way from Kampung Beliong up to Kampung Tanju. It is now covered with vegetation.

Local fengshui gurus look at it as a grounded dragon, unable to take off. In the Hakka dialect, its name is Vut Leung, meaning captive dragon.

The Malays, however, say Beliong is a special axe used in making a boat or sampan. It is cleverly mounted on the forked end of a wooden pole and can be adjusted and used as a hoe as well as an axe.

According to the Tua Kampung of Beliong, Sani Basah, Beliong, in its earlier times, was populated by many Bruneians who used the kapak beliong to make boats.

One day, one of them dropped his axe into a stream. In order to remember where he dropped the axe, he made a mark on the side of his boat. He then paddled to Kampung Tambirat on the opposite side where the water was shallow and started looking for his axe there.

All of a sudden, he realised his stupidity and remembered the original spot where he dropped his beliong. He pointed at the stream opposite Tambirat and exclaimed “there, beliong.”

The incident became a much talked about story and over the years, the stream simply became Sungai Beliong and the kampung, quite naturally, became Kampung Beliong.

Tua Kampung Sani whose family has lived there since the 1840s, said his grandfather was from Brunei. His name was Tengku Putih, and his father was Gafar Tengku Putih. It is likely many of the present Malay population in Beliong had come from Brunei.

You would need to use a boat to reach the area which is known as "sampan" in Malay language. It might be a really interesting experience as you will experience the exciting trip to reach there. The boat would be able to fit around 10 passengers at a time. 

This is a newly constructed pagoda temple over there , which was around a few years ago. It have been many visitors place.

It always have magnificent views from the top of the pagoda.

So this is part of the experience that i can share with you, it is really a very peaceful place which cute, smart dogs over there guarding! There are also a lot of artistic structures over there. It will be something like the "China" ! Visit there now! 

KBOX TOP 50

KBOX Top 50 was held on the 26 of April. This competition is held in the newly build up Cityone Exhibition Centre. By the way, a lot of people do not know where is the exhibition centre at as i didn't know to. So let me share with you all. ! i went to that event just because to support my friend Audrey, wanting to know who is her, later let me show you. :) She's selected to enter the Top 50 singers in Kuching out of more than 100+++ participants. I am really very proud of her as my friend! She's a really passionate singer that i can find in Kuching! So i went there around 5 something after my music class with my another friend, Melissa. The Cityone Exhibition Hall is located at Level 1. And you would need to walk straight until you see A Gan Tea. AND THERE IS IT! TAAADAA. hmm, a really big place that can fit around more than hundreds of people in there. So let me show you some pictures !

AUDREY!

I am a big fan of her! She can sing really well. She sang "Dark Side" by Kelly Clarkson with her partner later that night. Her voice is fantastic! She really did well that night, so proud of her!

After the entire performance, i went and meet up with some of my friends working over in Cityone at THE ROCK SHOP. The Rock Shop is really nice place to shop for fashionable shirts and i am sure a lot of girls would like it! It offers a variety of clothings, accesories, snapbacks and many other more! You all should stop by have a look at the shop. The deco inside the shop is really nice like ROCK Style. The price are reasonable and you will be served by polite workers! have a look there!

This is my friends! They are just really special where i can't explain!. 

Grandma's 78th birthday ❤️

Grandma's 78th Birthday 

Just a little bit about my grandma, my grandma is someone who really loves cooking as cooking for her is passion. Her sambal is "SUPER SEDAP" best sambal in the world!!! All her grandsons and granddaughters always seek for her sambal. She a very active and a sporting grandma and still looks really young !. We all love her so much ! Her laughter & smile always brighten up our days. With her, we feel we have like so many variety of delicious traditional food!. So as last sunday, we celebrated her birthday earlier this year.

VENUE: Imperial Restaurant, Kuching

So i would like to share to you all about the dishes that we ordered!  

1) The cold plate dish

It is normally serve as the first dish in a dinner. It was decorated with cucumbers, carrot and more. Look at the shaped-out carrot. isn't it amazing?!  

2) Steamed Fish 

3) Fried sesame prawn 

4) Yam with a variety of vegetables

5) Roasted Pig

This dish is the signature dish as it is really famous because of the roasted taste that you can taste! It is a must to try !  

After all, actually there are a few more dishes but i didn't get the chance to take photo of it. Now i would like to share to you all about this special cake that my cousin ordered for my grandma! Best Cake that i have ever tasted! It's a really special cake which i can't just resist to eat!

It consists of a lot of layers of cake with cheese&cream with it ! This is the oreo taste. FEELING GOOD !!

So this is the Almond one! This is also very delicious. It is homemade by a seller it cost around RM60 per cake. It is not really in big portion. But i can assure you that you will like it after you have the first try! It is not as sweet as some normal cakes in the market.

This is part of happy one whole big family. Consists of aunties, uncles and cousins. They are really lovely. Without them, my life would be apart! Thanks for reading ! love you all !

Okay, many people will ask what is that, basically it should be something connected to fashion in the world. and you're right because it actually connects a lot on fashion. To go straight to the point, i would like to introduce to you all about my new Fashion insta shop. It is not really considered as new because it was opened last year for a couple of months but it was closed because i would have to sit for public exams so i didn't want it to disturb me. 

I was the one who founded this shop as i think it was getting really trendy where a lot of people is doing this kind of stuffs so i actually decided to do. As i go along i found it was a really nice job as you would have to interact with your customers and learn how to be really polite! Customers are always right in business !

Holiday. HOW?

HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR HOLIDAY?

so people around will be asking what will you be doing during this holiday

? make it productive though that' what they are going to say. People like me (with hectic scheldues + free everytime) should have big problems on how to manage my holidays. I always have no idea on what i have to do but then i started to read more on articles on how to plan a holiday. You can always do something productive. START PLANING

REMEMBER ....

a) PLAN

The thing that everyone have to do is to plan because it actually helps a lot in making your holiday productive. There are a lot of ways on how you plan. You can plan on your timetable or in your head or whatever you have and the best way to write down your plan. You have to plan the right thing instead of the wrong thing. Divide your time equally on your scheldues that you want to do. 

People have the idea to actually sleep late at night because for them it is holiday, but that is what i does sometimes but not EVERY TIME. Sleeping late at night actually cause bad health which you would not actually suspect. Minor symptoms will show out so try not the sleep so late at night. All of us need around 8 hours of sleep so make sure you have minimum 6-7 hours. Do not go lesser than that, it will cause you dizziness the next day and lack of focus  the next day. So whatever you do the next day will not be productive anymore. So i am sure you would be very tired like sleeping in front of your teacher teaching. Sleep around 11pm and wake up around 8 am. This would be the best time . 

b) DO

There are actually lots of things that you can do during a holiday like going to holiday camps where a lot people can actually socialize and make new friends there. I have seen a lot of people joining like church camps, school organized camp and others are also considered as part of holiday trip. If you don't like the camp, don't force yourself to join the camp because you would not like how it be!. I am sure you will love to see a lot of people around you like going to shopping or whatever than that. So follow your heart. 

You can also go for like doing jobs. It is really famous nowadays because people needs lots of part-timer to work for them especially like the promoting products and somemore. It's really worth it if you work because you can get to experience and earn your own pocket money. So make sure that you can actually find the right job. 

So there are a lot of way you can actually do a lot of things like hangout with your old friends. This can strengthen your relationship with your friend!.

GOODLUCKKK !!!!!!! Make sure your holiday is not boring if you are boring just chat with friends! that's a boring way but fun sometimes. :)

Dine Western

Since the beginning of the year, i have been busying with new stuffs because that's we call a new year, new objectives to jump about around. So.. i have been also busying eating foods around Kuching! i have been updating a lot about foods, where you can compare between the foods and the places that i have been gone to.

For now, i would like to share with you all about some of the western food in Kuching that i've visited this year. Western in Kuching is very popular among the teenagers as the menu is very interesting such as Chicken Chop, Lamb Chop, Spaghetti Carbonara, and many more !!!

LIGHTHOUSE
Lighthouse is located at Jalan Song where a lot of teenagers get their "lepak" there.. even i do :) So lighthouse i can say a very jazzy place to dine and also a very romantic place to dine because of the lightning there. There are also friendly staff where you can find there ! i went there with my friends for a gathering after a movie night around 8pm like that. So after that, i got myself a treat by ordering Chicken Chop which is really famous at Lighthouse as a lot of people orders it. The environment is really very comfortable and it would be a perfect place for couples to dine as the light is set as "moonlight setting"

BASAGA
There are not a lot of people in Kuching know where's Basaga like me because it is located opposite Westwood where you can't see from the roadside. At first when my brother first asking me and my brother for a dinner at Basaga so i went "Where is BASAGA and what is BASAGA". My brother started laughing at me then he explained to me. After knowing it is a dinning place also a small resort, i was so excited to get myself inside there! The western there rocks, because of the sauces that actually provide if you order chicken chop. There are like mushroom sauces and others. People who go there are like western people from other country as it is a resort in like a jungle. I ordered Fish & Chips. The price is affordable as the portion is also big. So girls can actually share 1 plate of that.

FULLHOUSE
It was Saturday again and i went out with my friends again to Cityone and went for a movie date with them also. The Haunt was the movie that we watch and i have no idea how the ghost in the movie look like because i have been covering my face since the movie started. No guts in ghost movie. People say that it is not that horror as they think so for them it's normal. Before the movie starts, i had my dinner at Fullhouse which have pretty decorations around the dinning area. I am really sorry that i didn't take some pictures of it to show them to you. It's pretty white inside like wedding reception! nice place to take selfie also :) so i order a plate of Spaghetti Pesto and a cup of cappuccino. I purposely ordered the cappuccino because i would actually see the love design on top of the coffee which would be my first experience. It cost really expensive for just a small cup of coffee which is around RM 8. and which that amount of money i can buy more than a bowl of kolo mee. ! so let me show you the pictures!

Imperial Duck

Imperial Duck is very famous in Kuching city for it's signature dish which is the "roasted duck". So i went there last weekend to have lunch + breakfast because i do not know how to describe the time as it was around 10am -11am. Hehe:))) 

Imperial Duck have two branches, one near city and the other one at stutong. Both places are really a nice place dine as it's like really "ASIANS" food around the menu as you scan thru. 

So my family and i ordered a few dishes .. :) 

First , this is a set of cha siew. You can order the combination which is the 3 main meat which is the three-layered pork, cha siew and the roasted duck. It would come in a smaller potion because the one if order here is ala carte. It's worth to try . 

Now, i would like to recommend you their signature dish, roasted duck. It's really famous and it's a worth to order if you never try ! It comes with their sauce. 

Hmmmm, asian recipes like this ... YONG CHOW FRIED RICE. it's super famous and delicious in most chinese restaurant as it maybe brings in the culture of chinese foods. 

3-LAYERED PORK. This is nice but it's a little fattening but who really cares when it comes to eat? :) it's served with nicely roasted pork and cut into nice fine pieces. 

This is one that I've never seen the last time i was there because it's a new recipe in the imperial duck's menu. LAKSA. now they bring in the culture of  Malaysia (local) food.

Another plate of it but with different combination of meat which is the three-layered-pork. 

Ramen noodles is used  (la mian) 

So this is really a chinese and asian food post from me and i am sorry to the readers who have been waiting for me to update as they say my post are a little to short !
